Sunday, October 9, 2011 - East Whiteland Volunteer Fire Company Car and Motorcycle Show - We had a ton of fun grilling up homemade burgers and hot dogs for all of the attendees of the fire company's annual car show. We lucked out with a beautiful, sunny fall day, and attendance for the show was overwhelming. Dean and Cameron were so busy working the whole day that they didn't have time to get any pictures. They were so busy, in fact, that at one point in the afternoon they completely ran out of food! We promise to bring more food for everyone at the car show next year. Hope to see you there!
Thursday, August 4, 2011 - Best of the Main Line Party - Every year Main Line Today Magazine honors the their favorite businesses of the Main Line and Western Suburbs and gives their fans a chance to sample and get to know the winners. Dixie Picnic was honored for the second year in a row for “Best Sausage Gravy and Biscuits”. We had a great time serving upcakes, peach sweet tea, and sausage gravy and homemade biscuits to everyone at the party. You can see pictures from the party on Main Line Today's website.

Thursday, July 29, 2010 - Best of the Main Line Party - Every year Main Line Today Magazine honors the their favorite businesses of the Main Line and Western Suburbs and gives their fans a chance to sample and get to know the winners. Dixie Picnic was honored with the designation of “Best Unconventional Dessert” for our Upcakes. Wow! Did we have fun icing over 1000 Upcakes for the party. Can you say “Holy Buttercream, Batman!”

Here's a few pictures of the event, including the before and after of our “Upcake Pointillism” display.

Everyone had a great time and all of the proceeds of the ticket sales and silent auction went to support the Home of the Sparrow, Women's Resource Center, and Mommy's Light. There was dancing, food and drink, and all sorts of fun displays, and people to match. If you missed it this year, don't make the same mistake next year.
